Born from Norwegian Maritime Excellence
Elias Maritime was founded in 2012 by a group of former Norwegian Navy officers who recognized the growing security challenges facing the global maritime industry. Based in Tromsø — the gateway to the Arctic and a city with centuries of seafaring tradition — we set out to bring military-grade protection to commercial shipping.
Our founders understood that the seas were becoming increasingly dangerous. Piracy was surging in the Gulf of Aden, cyber threats were emerging as vessels became more connected, and geopolitical tensions were making traditional shipping lanes unpredictable.
Today, Elias Maritime protects over 5,000 vessels worldwide. Our team of 250+ security professionals operates from our state-of-the-art facilities in Tromsø, providing 24/7 monitoring, rapid response capabilities, and comprehensive security solutions for the world's leading shipping companies.
